The Team Vet Med Running group is designed to facilitate communication between students, faculty, staff and friends with the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Our marquee event is the Five Points of Life Marathon Relay in February.

Run Schedule/Training
Team VetMed training runs are held Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Tuesdays at Bull Gator Statue at the Stadium 6:15p, 3 to 4 miles, lots of paces, one water stop.
Thursdays at VAB, 5 pm, 3 miles easy, various campus routes
Saturdays include various runs around town or at local parks like San Felasco and Paynes Prairie, join the “UF CVM VetMed Running Group” on Facebook for details posted every week!
Featured Run: Dog Days 5K and 1 mile fun run Sept. 29, 2012
The 24th Annual Dog Days Race event, featuring a 1-mile dog run and a 5-K race, will be held Sept. 29 at Westside Park. Sponsored by the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association at UF, the event has become a tradition in Gainesville, bringing members of the community together for a fun and exciting way to exercise, while making dogs a part of the fun. The 5K race will begin at 8 a.m., and the 1-mile dog run will begin at 9 a.m. Registration is already available online at www.active.com.
We will have multiple awards for dog owners, including a costume contest and a look-alike contest, and this is definitely a family-friendly event the veterinary school can be proud to be associated with!
